Graffiti Migrator

Posted on Thursday, December 13, 2007

My recent post gathered a lot of attention in the comments for the Graffiti migrator utility I've been working on. I've received a lot of great feedback and have a new version in need of testing.

What's different

1) This new version supports Wordpress in addition to the CS2007 Database import.

2) Previously, the tool would just alert if there were any errors. Now after you click import, it will show failure/success/warning on each post.

The error and warning you see above will be the most common. The first error 99% of the time means it has already been imported. The warning is usually if you don't have a post name - no problem - just head over to the posts tab and go to pending review :)

A status bar will update as the post are being imported, when it is finished, you will see something like this at the bottom of the screen.

I definitely need some folks to try this out. You will need the latest version of the graffiti beta and the latest version of the migrator. If you want to try this out, leave a comment or send me an email: jdavis@telligent.com
